Curtis M. Singleton, also known as Curtis Singleton, has built a career defined by leadership, service, and a commitment to public safety across South Carolina. With more than 25 years of experience, his professional journey reflects a steady dedication to both community and country.


Throughout his career, Curtis M. Singleton has been recognized for his ability to lead with accountability while maintaining a strong focus on building relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. His leadership style has consistently emphasized trust, transparency, and service.


Curtis M. Singleton began his path in public service through the United States Army National Guard, where he served as an Automated Logistics Specialist. During his military service, he supported operations related to logistics, security, and mission readiness while deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His contributions earned him several commendations, including the Army Achievement Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal.


Following his military service, Curtis Singleton transitioned into law enforcement, where he built a distinguished career serving communities across South Carolina. He held leadership roles with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, where he was responsible for overseeing correctional operations, supervising staff, and managing inmate populations.


He later continued his service with the South Carolina Department of Mental Health, taking on supervisory roles focused on safety, investigations, and personnel management. In these roles, Curtis M. Singleton demonstrated a strong commitment to operational excellence and accountability.


Curtis M. Singleton also served in municipal law enforcement, where he held leadership responsibilities that included criminal investigations, departmental operations, and community engagement efforts. His work often focused on strengthening communication between law enforcement and the public, helping to build trust and cooperation.


In addition to his operational leadership, Curtis Singleton has contributed to training and development within the field of public safety. As an Adjunct Criminal Justice Instructor, he helped prepare future professionals for careers in law enforcement by teaching principles of ethics, leadership, and practical application.


Academically, Curtis M. Singleton holds a Master of Public Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Management, and an Associate degree in Criminal Justice. He has also completed extensive executive-level training through the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy and other leadership development programs.
