Curtis M. Singleton was recently recognized by the South Carolina Senate through the adoption and presentation of a Senate Resolution honoring his years of public service, leadership, and community impact.


The recognition was presented as National Police Officer Appreciation Week came to a close, making the moment especially meaningful. For Curtis Singleton, the honor reflected more than one title or position. It represented a journey of service that has included military service, law enforcement leadership, public safety, community advocacy, mentorship, education, authorship, and continued work to strengthen communities across South Carolina.

Throughout his career, Curtis M. Singleton has served in several roles connected to public safety and community leadership, including service as a former Police Chief in Chester, South Carolina, law enforcement professional, military veteran, board member, mentor, and published author. His work has centered on accountability, service, leadership, and helping others move forward.


The Senate Resolution recognized Singleton’s commitment to serving others and his continued efforts to make a positive impact beyond the badge. His career reflects a dedication to protecting communities, supporting youth and families, mentoring others, and using leadership as a tool for encouragement and growth.
